Welcome!

Congratulations on buying Clip Studio!  It's such an awesome digital art tool.  I have decades of experience with PhotoShop, Illustrator and the Adobe suite of products, and Clip Studio Paint is my favorite software to draw and create in.  So Welcome.

This is essentially going to be a textbook, so I will use certain conventions to explain things in a bit of a shorthand.  So let’ me start with explaining that, then you can feel free to skip ahead if you are familiar with any other basic introductory items I cover.

          Reading and understanding this part could be important to your understanding of this book.

I will also include Screenshots and even a short video when I feel they are necessary.  I will also include screenshots of button images as well as the toolbar they are in so you can locate them to begin with.
As they continue to be repeatedly used, I will begin to just use the name of the button or the Icon, assuming you have become familiar with it by that point.

If there’s a button, I’ll box it in like  [ Ok ]  or  [ Cancel ]

If there’s a Checkbox, [✔] Paper Color  = Check the box,   [  ] Paper Color = Uncheck the Item.

Menu Navigation

When navigating Menu choices, I will type File->New to indicate that you should click File in the menu bar, then New in the drop down menu.

The example to the left here would be written:
      Edit->Transform->Free Transform
That’s 3 menu item selections.

Common question among new users:

"Where did my Tool/Pen/Brush go??"

In this quick video, I show you how to find things,
and how to Register your Workspace
so you never lose them again.
